I was looking at various articles on immigration reform and I came across this website. Quite interesting how much money must be invested in this website just so that it could appear as a second-hand, politically incorrect, mediocre, hate-site with its charged words and completely biased articles. We understand your hate for “our” people, but at least sound proffesional in your writing and leave out the intolerable ignorance, make it look short-sided eh? I’ve suffered much discrimination in my life by all ethnic backgrounds that I’ve been able to tolerate this kind of racism. I respect your view on “our” people and I understand that there are those who break the law and then there are people such as myself who just want to fulfill my parents’ dream of me receiving a higher education. As a psychology grad from Northwestern University, I can see that the reason that why you hate “Mexicans” is because of your high patrionage, but there are better ways to show it buddy. I too am proud of being an American but I will not under-merit any religious or ethnic group due to the negative stereotype stamped on their forehead. I was happy ass hell when Michael Phelps won all those medals last year. I was holding a big American Flag despite the hatred placed on my people. I also find it amussing how you target only “Mexicans” although normally the majority are American born so they are Americans of Mexican descent. Plus there are other people of different nationality like Chile, Peru, Bolivia, etc., NOT JUST MEXICAN. As a matter of fact, according to the World Bank, the percentage of those of the general population living in poverty in Mexico fell from 24.2% in the year 2000, to 17.6% by the year 2004. Why should I point all of these things out to you all when you could very easily find all of this our for yourselves? Google “Mexico” and click on the Wikipedia article about Mexico. I am not posting this to anger any Mexicans here. I just want to make a comment and ask a question or two.
First of all, I am amazed each time I hear a Mexican repeat that they are in their own country here in the USA. This is often followed by saying, “Read the real history”.
If you want real history , here it is:
Europeans came to America a few centuries ago and conquered and killed those who inhabited the land. And those indiginous peoples, the Indians, killed and conquered those who were before them; and so on back to the dawn of time. That is the history of the world.
When we look at how bad Mexico is, we wonder why you guys won’t stay and fight for your country, which you don’t even love until you come here. There are no patriots in Mexico; Mexicans do not become patriots until they arrive here in the USA, ignorantly flying their flag on foreign soil. My question is this: Why do you do this? It would be stupid for me to fly the American flag in any other country, and I wouldn’t want to offend the people of that country. So why do you do it? We whites wonder these things. We wonder why you are so in our faces, when you are soooooo wrong in flying your flag here.
You have not made your mark in the world. Look at the country you have created. Then you come here and become very militant, believing you already own this country. And here is the thing: even if you did rightfully own the USA, which you don’t, you do not own the infrastructure; that is ours.
The truth is, you want us to hand over our country to you, infrastructure and all.
And we are not to utter a word, while the illegals just pour in, thousands a day.
Oh, and here is my real complaint: you say whites don’t work menial jobs, but you are only half correct; we did once work ALL those jobs until an ILLEGAL from another country, a person who has broken our laws, comes and TAKES the job away by working for a lower wage. You guys need to stop with the ignorance, and I am not trying to insult you. I myself accept all people as long as they respect me.
You would have so much better luck if you were less militant. And if you kept in mind that the racists you encounter, you also created. We have a very good basis for our complaints, but Mexicans are so militant and proud, they will never acknowledge their wrongs. How about La Raza? “For the race everything, for the others, nothing”. How can the publishers of this website write about their hatred for Mexicans, (or Latinos for that matter) when we, like any other American are risking our lives fighting for this country. In my years in the service, the one thing I’ve definitely noticed is that there are a majority of “minorities” in the service, risking their lives for the country you so “proudly.” And also, I’d really appreciate it if you’d humor me with your definition of “American.” Your calling us dumb, but the way I see it, you’re the one who’s never read a history book in your life.
I’m a Hospital Corpsman serving with the Marines. I’m Hispanic, but not of Mexican descent. I’ve been around Mexicans since I arrived in California from my homeland 30 years ago. When I first arrived, I noticed how illegal Mexicans were hard working people who did their jobs and kept to themselves. They worked hard and went home quietly doing their best not to be noticed due to their illegal status.
Today it’s a different story. Most illegal Mexicans I know are under the false impression that they deserve equal rights at par with U.S. Citizens. At the same time, most have no desire to be part of mainstream society. Worse yet, most of these “new breed” illegals DO NOT want to learn English nor acquire higher education. Most seem content with menial jobs requiring zero brain-work.
Further up on this column someone stated how Mexicans are “taking ova“ and taking white folks jobs. Really? What jobs would those be? Grass cutter? Bathroom wiper? Taco vendor? Surely you’re not getting my job because my job requires a little brain work which can be easily obtained with a little academic study. It’s not impossible Mexicanos!!!
In my place of work, I am the only brown-skinned Hispanic within my position. I work mostly with Asians and whites. Most of the Mexicans at my place of employment do unskilled labor work. And most choose not to speak English.
Now, before you rip into me here’s my informed observation about Mexico and Mexicanos. Mexico is the 14th largest country in the world with considerable natural resources. It’s surrounded by two oceans and is advantageously located right next to the United States. It’s people are creative and hardworking.
Given your potential, why do most Mexicans here in the USA undervalue higher education? Hey, you guys can do this. If I did it and moved ahead, then surely you guys can do this. I’m a brown-skinned average looking Hispanic who arrived here alone 30 years ago. I had no one to turn to. Going back home was not an option. I worked. I studied hard and often into the early hours of the morning before going back to work. I got my licenses (yes, licenses meaning more than one) and certifications. I made sure I was two times more qualified that the white guy standing next to me applying for the same job in the technical field.
Moral of the story. . .if any one here aspires to rise to the top, you must place a high value on education – the great equalizer. You must be willing to get an education if someday you want to be at par with whites and Asians. If you do not value education then you will carry that leaf blower on your back until the day you die. The choice is your. . .a book or a leaf blower?
Mexicans. . .you have no excuse for being at the bottom of the barrel. You people can do this if you put your minds to work and put the idiotic partying aside for a while.
