Gary Karlin = Dumb-assed retard

‘Illegal alien’ comments show writers’ racism – Gary Karlin
February 24, 2008

It is sad to see the increasing racism appearing in Statesman Journal letters and blogs.

“Illegal alien” has become code for “Mexican” or “Hispanic” so that racists may now feel free to express their bigotry against “illegal aliens” and even feel self-righteous about doing so. These code words are a cover and they don’t hesitate to use that cover to display the most virulent racism.

Chuck Borgia’s Feb. 10 letter hit a new low, suggesting that “illegals” caught crossing the border should be sent to Iraq — without weapons if they don’t go willingly. (An unsubtle way of saying, “just shoot them.” And if they’re children, tough.)
Strangely enough, there are many who would be happy to volunteer for the military if it meant obtaining citizenship. Strangely enough, there are many Hispanics who have fought and died for our country already.

  1. At least Gary Karlin is an American sounding name and a common name. There’s several out there. A few rich doctors, a guy running for committeeman in Chicago. I’m sure that all of them were American citizens and belong here.

  2. Perhaps they do belong here, but this particular Gary Karlin owes over $80,000 in child support. He has not payed in over 14 years. The thing that everyone seems to overlook is the fact that most of the “illegal aliens” that are here, have been here for years, and I’m SURE they are supporting their children.

    The last person in the world that should be commenting about these people is THIS GARY KARLIN!!!!!

  3. Lets talk about Marie Weiller/Karlin/Hughes or whatever name she wants to use. She was arrested in 1991 for domestic violence against her husband Gary Karlin, pulling a knife on him and threatening to cut his dick off. She was arrested several times for violating said order of protection. Besides, no one is interested in the liberal/communist filth that you have to spread on these blogs. Go back to mother Russia Marie, where you belong.

  4. Too bad, Gary Karlin is soooo bitter, now that he is in jail for non-payment of child support. It unfortunate that Gary, Reuben, or whatever his name is, won’t have anything to do with his daughter, though. She really would like to see her father, but he doesn’t give a crap about her. Hasn’t seen her in over 15 years. Hasn’t even bothered to ask about her.

    Mr. Karlin is a sicko that doesn’t even care about his own kid. If his family mentions her name, he tells them to “shut up” because the state always takes her side, or his ex-wifes side, but never rules in favor of him. Perhaps if he did the right thing and paid his child support, there wouldn’t be a problem.

    I hope your cell mates are having fun with you, Gary!

  5. Actually, Gary was hit by a car while on his 10 speed bike when coming home from work. The only one bitter is Marie. Wow, someone like Marie with that much hatred is certainly headed for a heart attack, stroke or some other serious aliment.

  6. Gary wants everyone to know he is not in jail now; however, he HAD BEEN in jail for contempt of court. He apparently does not know how to ride a bike in traffic…or perhaps he gets hit by cars on purpose to avoid paying child support? Or, perhaps, he is making up a story to get out of jail…I don’t think the judge is feeling any sympathy for him. Gary was only released so he could seek the medical treatment he claims he needs. If he did have an accident on his bike, I really, truly DO feel bad for him. If there was no accident, I feel sorry for him because it’s just another lie he has come up with, and being such a devout “Christian” it’s just another sin he has committed. Anyway, I’m sure his “freedom” won’t last long.

    If you feel I’m bitter, you certainly have that right. Wouldn’t you be bitter if you had to pay every doctor’s bill, every food bill, every bill for everything that your child has needed for the last 15 years and had little (if any) help from the person that helped you create that child?

    Gary feels that he is the only person that has been ill. Gary is not the one that was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis while going through his divorce. Gary may have asthma, but has he ever been intebated for an asthma attack? I certainly hope not. Gary wants everyone to feel sorry for him. He does not realize how difficult everything has been for his ex-wife or his daughter, And I would never wish these circumstances on him.

  7. Gary’s accident was documented by police and ambulance and witnesses. Its too bad that Marie accuses him of being hit by cars on purpose. I don’t know of anyone who would do that.

    I also known Gary since high school, and when he was married to Marie and going through some turbulent times, she called his job at Tellabs 20 times in a day, when he filed for divorce and got him fired. There were several other jobs throughout the years that Marie had called and got Gary fired. I seriously doubt that Marie needs the child support. She doesn’t act like it.

  9. Gary is still trying to act like his own best friend. Perhaps he is.

    I never called Tellabs 20 times in a day. I never even called there once. As I said before, the only previous employer of Gary Karlin’s is the one that I found out about (quite on accident) and I only called there to find out whose attention a withholding notice should be sent. Had Gary let his employers know that there was a court order for child support, I would not have had to call them.

    What Gary Karlin cannot seem to get through his thick head is that the child support is not for me. It is for support of his daughter, his own flesh and blood. The same daughter whose existence he has denied for the past 15+ years.

  10. The same daughter that Marie withheld visitation for several years. Jesus will forgive you as you’ve forgiven your ex husband. NOT!

  11. I’m so fat that I have to turn sideways to enter my trailer home. I don’t need my ex husband’s money because:

    1. I keep calling his jobs and harassing him to the point where he was fired.

    2. I have enough of my own money that I buy tons of food and eat all day long like a fat pig!

  12. No wonder why Gary divorced Marie:

    * Proverbs 12:4 NIV

    A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.

    * Proverbs 19:13 NIV

    A foolish son is his father’s ruin, and a quarrelsome wife is like a constant dripping.

    * Amos 7:17 NIV

    “Therefore this is what the LORD says: ” ‘Your wife will become a prostitute in the city, and your sons and daughters will fall by the sword. Your land will be measured and divided up, and you yourself will die in a pagan country.

    * Matthew 18: 21

    * Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?”

    * 22.
    * Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

    * 23.
    * “Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.

    * As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him.

    * Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

  13. Here is Marie Karlin’s Governor, whom she voted for. She must go for these bad boy types or something. I guess she can be proud of Gov. Blagojevich, since he’s a liberal Democrat and all!

    CHICAGO – Illinois’ attorney general on Thursday threatened to go to the state Supreme Court to have embattled Gov. Rod Blagojevich declared unfit to hold office if he doesn’t resign soon.

    “I am prepared to take action,” state Attorney General Lisa Madigan said on CNN.

    She said the best thing would be for Blagojevich (bluh-GOY’-uh-vich) to resign. The governor was arrested Tuesday on charges that he put President-elect Barack Obama’s Senate seat up for sale and he has ignored calls for his resignation.

    “The easiest way for us to move on in the state of Illinois is for Governor Blagojevich to do the right thing for the people and to resign,” she said. “Now, it doesn’t appear that he has any inclination to do that. Maybe things will change today or tomorrow.”

    Madigan said she “won’t wait terribly long.”

    “I have the opportunity to go to our Illinois Supreme Court and ask them to declare our governor is unable to serve and put in our lieutenant governor as acting governor,” Madigan said.

    Several other options are being considered to force the governor from office.

    Legislative leaders planned a special session Monday to strip Blagojevich of his power to pick a new U.S. senator, putting the decision in the hands of Illinois voters instead. Lawmakers also prepared to discuss the possibility of impeachment.

    Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Pat Quinn predicted that if Blagojevich doesn’t resign, it won’t be long before he’s either impeached or taken to the state’s highest court by Madigan.

    “I really think that the governor needs to resign and step aside right now and I think that will happen,” Quinn told NBC’s “Today” program Thursday. “If the governor doesn’t act he will be impeached.”

    Quinn also said that if he became governor, he may opt to appoint Obama’s replacement rather than wait for a special election.

    He said that while he’s generally in favor of letting voters choose public officials, the economic crisis makes it vital for the state to have two senators in place.

    Blagojevich’s lawyers have insisted he is innocent, and stressed that he still has important work to do for the state of Illinois.

    Blagojevich’s decision to show up for work Wednesday like it was another day at the office angered much of the state’s political establishment, and Obama and U.S. Senate leaders demanded that he step down. The prospect that the second-term Democratic governor might still try to appoint someone to the Senate also loomed.

    “He appears to listen to no one, and his conduct becomes more outrageous as time goes on,” said Steve Brown, spokesman for Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan.

    The first fallout from the scandal also emerged Wednesday, with U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. denying any misconduct while confirming that he is the Senate candidate mentioned in the federal charges as someone Blagojevich thought would pay money to be appointed to the seat. Jackson, the son of the Rev. Jesse Jackson, said he had been assured by prosecutors he was not a target of the investigation.

    On Tuesday, FBI agents arrested Blagojevich at his home and took him away in handcuffs. Prosecutors released a thick document that included excerpts of wiretapped conversations in which the governor allegedly schemed to enrich himself by offering to sell Obama’s Senate seat for campaign cash or a lucrative job inside or outside government.

    They also alleged he pressured the Tribune Co. to fire editorial writers at the Chicago Tribune after several negative editorials about Blagojevich.

    Blagojevich is charged with conspiracy and solicitation to commit bribery, punishable by up to 20 years in prison and 10 years, respectively.

    More than 24 hours after the arrest, Obama joined other prominent Democrats in calling for Blagojevich’s resignation.

    “The president-elect agrees with Lt. Gov. Quinn and many others that under the current circumstances it is difficult for the governor to effectively do his job and serve the people of Illinois,” Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs said.

    Asked whether Obama supports a special election, Gibbs said Obama believes the Illinois General Assembly should consider how to fill the Senate seat and “put in place a process to select a new senator that will have the trust and confidence of the people of Illinois.”

    Senate Democrats were more pointed in a letter to the governor: They “insist that you step down” and not name anyone to replace Obama. An appointment by a new governor would “be the most expeditious way for a new senator to be chosen and seated in a manner that would earn the confidence of the people of Illinois and all Americans,” wrote Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada and the party’s second-ranking leader, Sen. Richard Durbin of Illinois.

    They suggested the Senate might reject anyone chosen by Blagojevich. The Constitution gives the Senate authority to refuse to allow a member to be sworn in.

    It was unclear what incentive the governor had to give up his office.

    A resignation might make him appear guilty. The office also gives him a certain amount of clout, which can help him raise money for his defense.

    Republican Sen. Christine Radogno said it’s possible Blagojevich would use his resignation as a bargaining chip with prosecutors and agree to step down in exchange for leniency.

    When Illinois lawmakers meet Monday, they’ll consider changing state election law to fill Senate vacancies by special election, rather than leaving the decision to the governor. But holding an election could take months and give Republicans a shot at capturing a seat now in Democratic hands.

    Brown, the spokesman for the House speaker, noted that any change in the law would go to the governor’s desk, where Blagojevich could let it sit and still pick a senator.

    “Despite our best efforts, the governor could play hide the ball. That is an inescapable reality,” Brown said. “I’m hoping that’s not the case.”

    Brown said the speaker hasn’t ordered staff to begin researching impeachment but that individual legislators are doing so. The speaker’s office also compiled a memo earlier this year on arguments for impeaching the governor.
